loaded sour cream and onion waffle fries

Loaded Sour Cream and Onion Waffle Fries
These delicious loaded sour cream & onion waffle fries are made from crisp-baked frozen waffle fries, tossed with a homemade sour cream and onion seasoning, then topped with melted cheese, bacon, green onions, and sour cream.

INGREDIENTS :

    • 2 teaspoons powdered buttermilk
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
    • 1 teaspoon white sugar
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1 (22 ounce) package frozen waffle fries
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 7 slices bacon
    • 2 cups shredded white Cheddar cheese
    • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
    • 1/4 cup sour cream

DIRECTION:

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees (230 degrees C).
  2. Mix powdered buttermilk, garlic powder, parsley, sugar, salt, and onion powder together in a small bowl until combined.
  3. Place frozen waffles in a bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat. Sprinkle with sour cream and onion mix and toss to coat evenly. Spread waffle fries in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until lightly golden and crispy, 20 to 26 minutes, or according to package directions.
  5. Meanwhile, place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain bacon on a paper towel-lined plate. Crumble and set aside.
  6. Remove waffle fries from the oven and sprinkle evenly with Cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon.
  7. Return fries to the oven; bake until cheese is melted, about 3 minutes. Top with green onions and sour cream. Serve immediately.
